China Construction Machinery Exports Hit New Record High; Wheel Loaders and Backhoe Loaders Lead the Way

Latest data from China Customs shows that China's construction machinery exports grew by 15.3% year-over-year during the first five months of 2026. Among all categories, wheel loaders and backhoe loaders emerged as the two fastest-growing export segments.

Industry analysts point out that Chinese construction machinery continues to gain competitiveness in the global market, driven by: a complete industrial supply chain, mature manufacturing processes, and highly competitive pricing. In particular, Chinese brands now hold over 60% of the global market share in the 3-5 ton equipment segment.
